This is it, the big game.
I can't even describe to you the emotion I'm feeling right now. Just the mystery, the intrigue that surrounds this game is amazing. Will the Hornets starting lineups be low key? Half key? Will they bring the old announcer back to do some intense introductions? Will Rob Nice come out of nowhere, push the loser guy that emcees the game now and shout his famous line, "Alright Hornets fans, we are gonna show the Thunder that we are the loudest fans in the N-B-A! Nobody sits down until we make our very first bucket! So stand up, on your feet, and make some NOIIIIIIISSEE!!!!" Afterwards, will everybody be clapping to the beat far too long? Well, the answers to these inquiries are most likely: No. It will be the same old same old Thunder crap, where they play way too much Hinder and "Everybody Clap Your Hands".
But, the question still remains: Who will everybody cheer for? Will it be a sea of teal? A sea of Thunder blue? Or a checkerboard? Personally, I will cheer for the Thunder. But I also think that it will be a sea of teal. Nobody is going to cheer for the Thunder. Hell, I bet even brick guy will be against us. It's going to be so embarassing that the cheerleaders and announcers might just give up. Ben thinks that people will be cheering for both teams, but I don't think that will happen. You're either with the Thunder or with the Hornets.
Apparently there's a lot of hype surrounding the "ESPN Bus" that's coming to town. I'm pretty skeptical, and don't expect anything amazing. Thunder Alley is pretty underwhelming as well. $6 Pizza, bad country music, a basketball hoop, mini-basketball hoops, local radio stations and local media personalities is about all you'll get. And whatever the ESPN bus decides to offer.
Also, we've been named the 2nd worst team in the Western conference by Andrew Thell of Empty the Bench. 2nd worst? Well, in the prespective of what the future is, then sure, I guess we beat the Clippers. Still, they've noted our "throw chit at the wall" technique of trying to find a good big man, and it hasn't worked so far. And our lack of a true point guard. But they also said it's still very possible that we'll get a big free agent down the line in 2010. So, our future could go either way. I pretty much agree with them, I mean, it's good analysis. Nobody on this team is going to stay but Durant, Green, and Westbrook.
Anyway, who cares about the actual game? It's going to be a blowout.
