They were trying interpretive dance....I think.
Yahoo! Box Score
I offically hate Brian Davis and Grant Long with a burning passion.
Adonal Foyle, my favourite player, played for only the 4th time this year. All of a sudden, Brian Davis says,
"I think Adonal Foyle is close to winning the award for the worlds oldest man."
Long: Yeah, his footwork can't be good at this point in his career.
....
Davis: Here's an opportunity for Wilcox. Attack Foyle! Attack him now!
*Wilcox misses a jumper.*
Long: Yeah, that was a missed opportunity. Again, seldom used....
Davis: I guess you could use the expression, "Foyled Again!" here.

Adonal Foyle Says: No Way!
Ugh, whats with the Foyle hate? I mean, you probably haven't seen him play since 2001, and just because he doesn't run like Usain Bolt all you guys do is throw cheap insults at him. He's only 33!
You know what, guys? Tonight, I thought that since the game was on KSBI, DirecTV wouldn't block out Sun Sports, and I could watch the game there, or on the League Pass that I pay so much money for. You'd think with the money that I shell out for that, I'd be able to avoid horrible announcers like you guys. But, no. The League Pass and Sun Sports feed cut out right before the game, and I felt like crying. Another night of horrible players interviews. Massive technical faults. Blatant Thunder propoganda telling us that the team has been "Oh soooo improved" under new head coach Scott Brooks. And now, I have to endure a slam of insults about my favourite player? Screw you guys. I'm this far away from turning off the sound on my TV.
And for those of you who think this team is improved? You know what? It's not. This is the same team that started the year under P.J. Carlesimo, and they're winning the same amount of games. People are going to look at tonight as a sign that we're getting better, because the lost to Orlando by a smaller margin. Those people are fools. You know who we didn't have in that game? Chris Wilcox and Kevin Durant. You know how many points they combined for tonight? 27. On top of that, Johan Petro played out of his mind. They're the reason we got "better". Not because of any strategy.
You have to realise....Durant and Wilcox are the perfect players to beat the Magic. We are a horrible team, but the Magic are also tragically flawed. The team consists of 3 categories of players:
1. Centers (Howard, Battie, Foyle)
2. Hard-Nosed Defenders (Mickael Pietrus)
3. Scoring Wings (Everyone Else)
Howard takes care of everything inside alone. He defends inside, and he scores inside. Everyone elses job is to score, and that's it. They can't defend, they can't rebound. All they can do is score. And, with their only defender, Pietrus, out for the game, it should be easy pickings for our outside shooters. And that's what it was tonight.
If the Magic are ever going to be successful, they're going to have to get a Power Forward. Someone who can defend and help Dwight out to make an unstoppible combination. Like an Udonis Haslem or a Chris Wilcox. Without that, they're going to be stuck forever semi-competing with bad teams, wasting energy, and Looking at the 3rd or 4th seed and a second round out every year.
And what happens if Dwight gets injured? They're screwed. I mean, not like LeBron leaves the Cavaliers screwed or Kobe leave the Lakers screwed, because on their own those teams could probably be a 7 or 8 seed. They would literally, implode. They would either have to hope and pray that Battie and Foyle could fill in the defensive void and just score from the outside or they would have to go totally small ball, which is something that Van Gundy wouldn't do and also wouldn't work because nobody can rebound but Foyle and Battie, and they both don't have the stamina for it. And, believe me, small ball needs rebounding.
But, I digress. The Thunder did do a pretty good job of exploiting the Magics flaws tonight. I sounded pretty harsh before, but that's what happens when these jokes of announcers insult my favourite player. The main reason that they lost was because we didn't put enough on Dwight Howard. You can't have the defendively inept Wilcox or Joe Smith guarding him all game. In my opinion, Petro should have been in there a lot longer, and we should have tried some Sene. I hear this guy is good at defense, but I never get to see him! 2-18 can't get much worse, why not throw him out there? I mean, there were so, so many easy buckets. You could even just throw Nick Collison out there for a few minutes and make it his job to make sure that Howard is fouled and sent to the line without and And 1. Hack-a-Howard would work excellently here.
Reguardless, enough of this, on to the awards....

RW: I....I actually won? KD: Noooo!!!!
Our Thunder Wonder Award goes to Russell Westbrook, unquestionably. 5 Turnovers are bad, but it's over shadowed by his 19 Points, 8-14 Field Goals, 9 Rebounds, 5 Assists, and 2 Steals.

Funny Frenchman!
The Thunder Down Under Award goes to, who else, Johan Petro! The amount of defense and offense that he brought to the floor in a measly 19 minutes is simply stunning, and it really shows what he can do off of the bench on a regular basis. 15 Points, 7-9 Shooting, 2 Rebounds, and 2 Steals cap off his 19 minute night.
The Thunder Blunder goes to Damien Wilkins. Some might give it to Joe Smith or Nick Collison, but those guys were instrumental to defending against Dwight Howard, and din't have much other purpose on the floor. Wilkins, on the other hand, couldn't score against some of the softest defenders in the league. 4 Points, 1 of 5 Shooting, 3 Rebounds, and 4 Assists cap off a horrible 20 minute night for the new starter.

Dwight Howard Says: Where's the D?
Lastly, the Thunder Plunderer goes to Dwight Howard. Lets have a show of hands at who is surprised.... Anyway, 21 Points, 7-17 Shooting, 7-13 Free Throws, 23 Rebounds, 3 Turnovers, and 6 Blocks.
Next Game: Saturday, December 6th, at the Miami Heat. 6:30 Tip off. Who will watch? Nobody.

Russell Westbrook says that you better watch!
