Sorry for the lack of pictures tonight, guys. My computer won't properly resize the images, so you'll have to wait until tomorrow, when I can get on a better one.
Yahoo! Box Score
Whoh, Nellie!
Another 4th quarter collapse, and we once again lose to the Los Angeles Clippers. It was a typical Thunder game in every sense of the word. The Thunder started out really sloppily, scoring only 4 points in the first half of the first quarter. Then, they had this massive rally to come back within striking distance, took the lead at one point in the 2nd, and then kind of coasted from 2-5 points behind the rest of the game. They tied it up in the 4th, and then spent the last 5-6 minutes completely blowing the lead. At the very end, the crowd started booing, and rightfully so. But then, Westbrook made a layup and they cheered again. So it goes.
I had the privledge of sitting next to the "Gods of Thunder" tonight. They are really cool guys with some original remarks, and I really enjoyed it. The loudspeakers have finally switched to some new songs, and that's pretty good. I only heard, "Everybody Clap Your Hands" once, and I was glad for that.
I'm really getting tired of these games. Scotty Brooks has now reached the record of P.J. Carlesimo, and he did it facing largely worse teams. Lets take a look at the opponents for each:
PJ: Mil, Hou, Min (W), Bos, Uta, Atl, Ind, Orl, NY, Phi, Hou, LAC, NO
Scotty: NO, Pho, Cle, Min, Mem (W), Cha, Orl, Mia, GS, Mem, Dal, SA, LAC
Okay, just to point out, the Winnable games for PJ were Milwaukee, Minnesota, Indiana, Philadelphia, and the Clippers. For Scotty, it was Minnesota, Memphis, Charlotte, Golden State, Memphis, and the Clippers. Even some of PJs weak teams (Mil, Phil) are loaded with talent. On top of that, Scotty has faced a couple of lower playoff seeds (Dal, Mia) while PJ only had one (NY). I mean, Joe can throw all of the numbers at me that he wants, but I think that Scottys better "numbers" are simply because of a different style against much easier teams. Until he starts pulling out wins, I'm still keeping a hard line. P.J. Carlesimo was the better coach!
Oh yeah, and could we get some guys in the middle? Scotty refused to play 2 big men on the floor for any extended period of time unless one of them was Chris Wilcox. I love Weezy on offense, but where's the D? Wheres the rebounds? We were getting killed on the glass all night, and Randolph (AKA Horrible Pictures Guy) was having a field day. Joe Smith was nowhere to be found, and Petro only got a short amount of time on the floor. I think we're to the point that we should just throw out random guys on the floor. I want me some Mo Sene, some Kyle Weaver, and some Steven Hill! Heck, throw DJ White out there with his broken jaw. Have some fun for once!
Anyway, Time for Awards:
Thunder Wonder: Kevin Durant, with another typical night.
Thunder Down Under: Earl Watson. He actually made some shots, and 12 assists are simply off the hook!
Thunder Blunder: Damien Wilkins. Why this guy is still in the starting lineup is a mystery for all of the ages.
Thunder Plunderer: Zach Randolph. Total domination in the post. Imagine if they had Kaman, Randolph, Camby, and Brand. I shudder at the thought.
Next Game: Friday, December 19th vs. the Toronto Raptors.
On a side note, we finally climbed over 1,000 hits! Geaux Blue Blitz!

But, I won't go as far as to say that P.J. was "better".
