There's been a lot of un-recapped games lately, so I'll just impart a few words about each.
New York- Al Harrington is a straight up baller. We had the lead for most of the game, but then we dropped it all in the 3rd, thanks to horrible play by Jeff Green.
Minnesota- Is there anything more that needs to be said?
Houston- The much anticipated debut of Nenad Krstic looked to be a flop, but it actually turned out quite well. He started out missing long Joe Smith type jumpers, and at one point he forgot that the shot clock was at 2 seconds and wasted a possession. But, he eventually did okay, nabbing 10 points. It will take him a while to get back to playing form.
Chicago- The first overtime in franchise history turned out to be a win. When your friends in other cities tell you that the Thunder suck, just remember to tell them that they have a 1.000 win percentage in overtime! This game is just another example of momentum. In the 05-06 season, the Golden State Warriors had something like a 10-15 point lead in the fourth quarter against the Utah Jazz. The Jazz overcame that deficit, tieing it on a buzzer-beating 3. In overtime the Warriors just stood around in shock that they had actually been forced to that point after such domination in regulation. That's kinda what happened there to Chicago. Continuing on the Krstic Watch, he played only 13 minutes and scored 8 points with 2 rebounds.
New Jersey- Oops. Well, it was fun to have a 1.000 overtime record for a while. Robin Lopez absolutely exploded on our weak interior defense, and we payed for it. It should have never even gone to overtime, with Lawrence Franks rediculas running onto the floor to call a timeout in the middle of the play, and calling timeout before Vince Carter hit the 3. Former OU Star Eduardo Najera had 4 points and 6 rebounds, an average night for him. Nonetheless, our big 3 of Durant, Green, and Westbrook was no match for their Big 3 of Robin Lopez, Vince Carter, and Devin Harris and that's why they won tonight.
