Well, looks like Wilcox is on the move afterall. Don't worry about about Chandler Thunder fans. Sam Presti has landed a new center to hang our hats on. Say hello to Malik Rose, formerly with the New York Knicks. In all seriousness, this is a very insignifficant deal. I Wilcox hardly ever saw any play time, how is Malik Rose ever going to catch the light of day?
The Knicks win this deal, as Wilcox would be an upgrade over Rose. But it's not like we were embarassed either. I mean, Wilcox was the better player, but on a nightly basis his contributions were at a minimum for this team. The real question here is why Sam Presti felt it so critical to trade Wilcox. This isn't a move that had to be made. It makes you wonder just how happy Chris was in OKC. The way he was disappearing into the Thunder bench, it makes you curious about his relationship with Scott Brooks. Maybe signing Nenad Krstic burned bridges with the Thunder management? Who knows?
As for Malik Rose, is there a bigger adjustment in the NBA than a move from NYC to OKC? Say goodbye to Broadway and hello to the Broadway Extension. Bet they don't have a Bass Pro in Times Square. Hopefully he'll learn to like it, the majority of the players do, reportedly. God knows he'll have plenty of time to explore the city, as he won't be seeing much time on the court.

LITTLE KNOWN MALIK ROSE FACTS
While attending Drexler, Rose was a student teacher at Robert E. Lamberton School.
During his San Antonio Spurs days, Rose owned a restaurant on the riverwalk that served a variety of specialty Philly Cheesesteaks named after Spurs players. Sadly the shop is now closed. I think we have room for one by our canal, Malik! Can't wait to try the Krstic Koscher or the Jeff Greens and Veggies Sandwhich.
